While I was starting to write up this week’s junk mail I found out that the lady who’s mail this is, has passed away. Do not feel sad for her. She lived her life the way she wanted, to the fullest. I will process this week’s junk mail as I normally would. But next week will mark a new chapter in this blog and the way the junk mail is dealt with.
First we have a letter telling me that I have gotten her off another mailing list and the physical manifestation of why I needed to go to the lengths I did.

This letter has all the info I was looking for for all these months. Note how the info on the letterhead doesn’t match the website contact info. I know area codes don’t mean much any more but they are based in DC and Florida, and the area code for those phone numbers is in Los Angeles. If you need to stop Freedom Watch junk mail send an email to Larry at firstname.lastname@example.org, and call the main phone number (310) 595-0800 or the chief of staff (310) 770-9712. If they blow you off, do what I had to do and send a complaint to the DMA.

Normally I would fill out a form 1500 and send this off to NY. But because she has passed away I tore off the back page with all of her info and wrote “Deceased she is dead” on it. Then stuffed it into the prepaid envelope.
